About ALM

Aboriginal Languages of Manitoba Inc. (ALM) formerly known as The Manitoba Association of Native Languages, Inc. (MANL) was incorporated in 1985 to promote the retention of Manitoba's Aboriginal Languages. The Native Education Concerns Group, which formed in 1978 addressed the issue of the need for Aboriginal language preservation. The Association was established in response to this issue.
